Meetings with writers, Reading Wednesdays, clubs and writing workshops: how reading builds our students’ critical thinking.
At SUP2I, “reading to grow, reading to act” is not simply a motto. It is a clear educational stance, built on the conviction that reading develops critical thinking, reflection and expression. It prepares students to understand their environment and to act within it thoughtfully.
Reading and critical thinking: a key skill
In a world where information flows constantly, reading with rigour is essential. Through reading, students learn to build an argument, to think for themselves and to take a step back. These skills have become indispensable, in professional life as much as in civic life.
Literary encounters on campus
We regularly organise conversations with Moroccan and international writers, notably working notably with the Union of Moroccan Writers. These inspiring sessions let students see behind the scenes of literary creation, ask their questions and broaden their culture.
Reading Wednesdays
Every Wednesday, students present a book they have read and share their analysis with their peers. The activity builds confidence in speaking, critical thinking and openness across disciplines. These sessions create genuine momentum around reading.
An ongoing, participatory approach
Reading fits into a lasting programme: reading clubs, review competitions, writing workshops. Students build their independence and express what makes them singular. You will find these activities among the student clubs on campus.
Reading to think, reading to transform
Reading helps students develop informed leadership, rooted in reflection, culture and action. It prepares them to become engaged citizens and responsible professionals.
